

BOCA RATON, FL.- Harriet Luce Ronco, 71, of Lewiston, Maine passed away on Friday February 5, 2010 at the Boca Raton Community Hospital in Florida after a short, courageous battle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by her family. She was born in Lewiston, Maine on December 9, 1938 to the late Annie and Irven Luce. Harriet graduated from Lewiston High School in 1956 and Bentley College in 1958. After graduating, Harriet went to work in the accounting department at Central Maine Power Company in Augusta.She married Kenneth Ronco on July 17, 1964. While raising their three daughters, she worked part-time for a local accounting firm. She then returned to Central Maine Power until her retirement in 1995. Harriet had a life-long love of harness racing and enjoyed the last several winters in southern Florida with Ken. But the greatest joy in her life was spending time with her family. Harriet was a gracious and generous woman who always put others needs before her own. Harriet is survived by her husband of 45 years, Kenneth; three daughters Mollie Ronco and her partner Corey Beaulieu of West Paris, Jennie Breton and her husband Michael of Lewiston and Annie Lanzieri and her husband Mark of Monmouth; and five grandchildren Kristi Conroy, Casey Conroy, Stephanie Hamm, Benjamin Hamm and Alexander Breton. NOTICE Ronco- Died in Boca Raton, FL., Friday February 5, 2010. Mrs. Harriet Luce Ronco age 71 a resident of Lewiston. There will not be any funeral services. Private burial will be held in the spring at Valley Cemetery in Greene.
