Imelda P. Guay

LEWISTON- Imelda “Millie” P. Guay died on January 4, 2026. Millie was born in Lewiston, Maine on December 17, 1933, the sixth of seven children born to Albert and Bernadette Ratte. She was 92 years old.

Millie attended St. Peter’s School and graduated from Lewiston High School. She married Lucien “Lou” Guay. They were married for 66 years. Lou and Millie lived in Auburn, Maine where they raised a family, built a home, and ran a successful business. Millie was an avid knitter and reader. She and Lou loved to travel both internationally and, in their RV. She and Lou annually hosted a large Christmas get-together for family and friends.

In addition to being the loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Millie also worked as a secretary and office manager for a local architecture firm, a doctor’s office, and family business.

Millie is survived by her daughters Diane McCormack and husband Don; Elaine Wickman and partner Mike; and son Ron Guay; her grandchildren Joe and Greg McCormack, Melissa and Michael Wickman, and Aaron Guay; and 7 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Lucien, daughter-in-law Brenda, and great granddaughter Kaillen.

The family will hold a private ceremony on a future date. Millie will be interred at the Maine Veteran’s Cemetery in Augusta.
