

Lewiston - Irene C. Berube formerly of 209 Pine St. died Tuesday September 7, 2010 at Marshwood Heath Care & Rehabilitation Facilities where she resided for the past month. Born in Thetford Mines, P.Q. Canada May 22, 1916 a daughter of the late Wenceslas & Sophronie Beaudoin Charest, she was educated in Lewiston schools. She was married to Arthur A. Berube who died January 19, 1990. She retired from Bates Mfg. Co. in 1974 where she worked in the winding room for 25 years. Mrs. Berube was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at The Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul and a former parishioner at Holy Trinity Parish in Lisbon. She was also a member the Lisbon Falls, Lewiston and Durham Senior Citizens. She enjoyed family gatherings, traveling and watching T.V. and loved being with family. She is survived by 2 daughters, Rita Tremblay and husband Robert of Lewiston, Gertrude Gosselin of Brewer, 2 sons, Wilfred Berube of Rockport, Raymond Berube and wife Judy of Lewiston, 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Marie Louise Blanchette & Delima Soule, and 2 brothers Wilfred & Rene Charest.
Visitation Fortin / Lewiston Friday, 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 Pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at Prince of Peace Parish at The Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul Upper Church Saturday 9:00 Am.
