

Irene was born in Auburn, May 23, 1930 the daughter of Alphonse and Marie Anna (Bonneau) Chabot. She attended school in Auburn. She was employed at Bates Mill # 5 prior to her marriage to Fernand O. Ouellette on May 23, 1951. Irene later worked at Shapiro Bros., Gould and Scammon and Heartland. Fern and Irene spent many winters in Lakeland and Largo Florida. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and going to watch her grandchildren play sports. Irene enjoyed going to Curves and for coffee at Sam's with the Curvy Chicks every morning when she was able to. She enjoyed their camp at Taylor Pond, playing cards on Friday night, senior citizens trips and going to Mohegan and Hollywood Slots. She also enjoyed doing puzzles and collected lighthouses and angels. She belonged to the Sabattus Senior Citizens and the Holy Family Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.
She leaves behind three daughters, Diane Draper and her husband Tom of North Monmouth, Doris Witherell and her husband Gary of Monmouth and Rita Lajoie and her husband Michel of Lewiston. Seven grandchildren, Denise Mochamer of Farmington, John Lajoie of Lewiston, Rachel Lajoie of Lewiston, Brent Witherell of Palm Gardens Beach, Florida, Bryan Witherell of Winthrop Gina Draper of North Monmouth and Ashley Draper of Winthrop and ten great grandchildren, Samantha, Marlie, Brandon, Brianna, Bryce, Elliot, Madison, Alicia, Landyn and Kalie. Two sisters, Theresa Labbe and her husband Richard of Lewiston and Juliette Drouin of Riverside, CA and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Fern, September 15, 2006 and an infant son Joseph, her mother and father, sisters Jeanne Creart, her twin sister Lorrraine Richards, Marguerite Laflamme, her brothers Ernest, Romeo and Lucien Chabot.
Visitation at Fortin/Lewiston on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Church. Committal at St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 819, Lewiston, ME 04243-0819.
