AUBURN - Irene J. Thomas, 86, a resident of 4 Colonial Way died early Tuesday morning at her residence following a long illness. She was born in Lewiston, February 26, 1924, the daughter of Ronaldo and Josephine (Nauges) Chartrand. Irene was a loving mother and grandmother. She worked in the local shoe industry while she was raising a family. Following her retirement, she also worked as a certified nurses aid for Androscoggin Home Health Care. Survivors include two sons, Raymond Duval of Auburn and Clinton Thomas of Barrington, NH; one daughter, Linda Baril and her husband, Kim of Barrington, NH; one brother, Maurice Chartrand of California. Memorial services celebrating Irene's life will be held MONDAY 11:00AM from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham and Son with Deacon Denis Mailhot presiding.
