Lisa and family,Jim and I met, like many other work travelers, at the airport in Portland. For years, Jim, along with several others, traveled together, compared horror stories, gave travel reports and tons of jokes about "the road". Jim was one of the supper stars, with more segments and miles than most, but always personable, extremely friendly and willing to share his immense sense of humor. Lisa, you problably don't realize, but you were both offered many trips to the mountains of western Maine to visit, after some time when we both got off the road for a week or so, an event just not in the cards for most who travel for a living. I just heard about the tragedy of Jim's death from another one of the airport crowd. Unfortunately, too late to attend the service and share our story with you and your family. I will spread the word to others, folks who knew Jim from another part of his life. I speak for many who are deeply saddened for your loss, and ours. We lost a friend, a fellow "warrior of the road" and a truly great honorable guy! Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thank you Lisa, for being there for Jim through this whole ordeal and keeping the rest of us informed on what was going on with Jim during his last days. I know it must have been a terrible experience to go through. Jim was such a special friend that we all took for granted, thinking he would always be there to retire and grow old with...if we had only known....I am sure stories of Jim will stay with us all til our time is up. Please know that Susan and I are so saddened by Jimmy's passing...we are thinking of you, Jake and Heather during these days of grief.

Jim was a wonderful, kind man. He made me laugh all the time. He was a great father @ loved his family very much. Dear Lisa & family,It is incomprehendible. We all need to draw our strength from above. We pray for all of you.Jim was such a good friend; looking to hang out and always reaching out to his friends in spite of his ever so hectic work schedule. A comedian at heart; just get him started and he would entertain for hours. Often times, my cheeks were sore from laughing. And you know laughing is good for the soul. I would constantly marvel at Jim's wit.We have some good golf stories from the last several years. One thing was for sure: Commaraderie was way more important than the quality of our golf game! I feel so fortunate that we had something in common that brought us together. We played last on August 8th, such a short time ago.Lisa, let us continue our friendship moving forward. My deepest sympathy to Jim's family. He was a GREAT teacher at Ryder in Lewiston. I learned a lot from Jim. I will sadly miss him.

We are so saddened by Jim's passing. We've only had the camp at the beach for 3 years but Jim will be sorely missed. He was always very welcoming and we enjoyed talking with him. In late June he was dog-sitting two dogs and we had our 'puppy' German Shepherd with us, they tore the beach up chasing each other -- we were all quite entertained - lot's of laughter. It's hard to believe he is gone now. Our condolences go out to all of Jim's family and friends.

Words can not express how sorry I am for your loss..for "our" loss. I worked with Jim several years ago. He always had a smile on his face, always helpful and just an all around great guy. I will never forget his great laugh or smile! It never makes sense when somebody so full of life is taken so soon. Thanks for the memories.

Jim and I were childhood friends for many years, but life took us on different paths after grade school and the last time we said hello was during a very brief encounter over 30 years ago. Nevertheless, it seems like just yesterday we were riding our bikes up and down the neighborhood and playing army in the field next to our houses. Sending my wishes for peace and prayers to the entire family.
