

LEWISTON- Jean Paul Charpentier, 67, a resident of 100 Elm Street, Sabattus died Friday evening June 27, 2008 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center and has returned to his beloved wife Jo'Anne on the very day of their wedding anniversary of June 27. He was born in Lewiston on January 22, 1941, the son of Edward and Laura (Morin) Charpentier. He attended Auburn schools. He retired from Bath Iron Works in 2003 after 16 years of service as a yard rigger. He also retired from the United States Army after serving 26 years to his country. He enjoyed working around the yard, woodworking, spending time with his sister Cecile, his sons Jimmy and Joey and their families, and doing special things for his grandson Tyler. He spent every week looking after his "grand doggies" Penny and Radar and was looking forward to meeting his new granddaughter Sophea. This loving and generous man will be sadly missed by his family. Survivors include two sons, James Roland Charpentier and Anna Ridley of Bowdoin, and Joel Edward Charpentier and his wife Nicole (Gagne) of Auburn; one brother, Edward and Irene Charpentier of Florida; four sisters, Pauline Morin of Lewiston, Cecile Couillard of Lewiston, Connie Corkery of Sabattus and Eva Dackmine of Lisbon; one grandson Tyler James Charpentier of Bowdoin; and soon to be arriving granddaughter, Sophea Ann Charpentier.
