

LEWISTON – Jean Thomas Pare age 70 of Lewiston died Thursday July 24th atSt. Mary’s Regional Medical Center after a short illness surrounded by his family.He was born in Lewiston on August 18th 1937 the son Cyrille and Aurore (Lessard)Pare. He was a US Marine Veteran serving in Morocco as a French interpreter. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a commercial tire salesman at Snow’s, Stratham, and Lee Tire Companies for many years. Mr. Pare then worked part time at Apple Valley Golf Course. His hobbies included golf, reading, gardening, traveling, photography, cross word puzzles with his wife, athletics and enjoyed the outdoors. He was married to the former Constance J. Bergeron who predeceased him in 1995. Survivors include his wife of Lewiston the former Penny Craw whom he married in 2000; two sons, Anthony and his wife Theresa of Scituate, MA; James and his companion Debbie of Auburn; one daughter, Christine and her husband, Mark Mumau of Hartford; one step son, Timothy Fortunato and his wife Denise of Buxton; two step daughters, Lisa Fortunato and her husband Marc Blanchette of Lewiston; Angela and her husband Mark Cyr of Greene; 9 grandchildren, Zachary, Rachel, Matthew, Courtney, Brigitte, Anthony, Garrett, Jessica, and Connor; two great grandchildren, Travis and Ava; three brothers, Louis, Fr Paul, and Andre; four sisters, Madeleine Roy, Marguerite Roy, Patricia Camire, and Louise Pare. Also survived by many close brothers and sisters in-law along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, one sister, Sister Sylvia Pare, and by two brothers, Cyrille and Clifford. Tom was a kind, gentle, benevolent, intelligent, God loving man. He was loved and will be missed by all that knew him. The family would like to thank Dr.’s Lee and Zanders as well as the ICU staff at St. Mary’s Hospital.
