

Born on January 13, 1940, in St.-Méthode, Quebec, Jeanne was the daughter of the late Adelard and Arcancia (Turmel) Tardif. She was married June 6, 1959 to Guy Villeneuve and in the same year, the pair moved to Maine.
Prior to her retirement, Jeanne was a longtime leather stitcher and a talented crafter. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and tending to her gardens, which were always filled with beautiful flowers that adorned her beloved farmer’s porch. Jeanne was an active and energetic woman who was rarely seen sitting still. She was an exceptional caregiver and was fiercely loyal and devoted to her family.
A wonderful cook and baker, Jeanne especially enjoyed making brownies with her granddaughter and was well known for her homemade bread. Her greatest pride and joy was her family, and she took immense pride in her granddaughter. Jeanne was also a friend to all animals and provided a loving home to many dogs and cats throughout her life.
Jeanne was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Guy Villeneuve, and her son, Yvain Villeneuve.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Additon and her partner, Mike Wiley of Scarborough, Maine, and her granddaughter, Kaylin Additon of Scarborough, Maine as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Jeanne on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., The Fortin & Pinette Group, 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway Lewiston, Maine. A Liturgy of the Word will take place following Visitation with Committal Prayers will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Deer Road Lewiston, Maine, where she will be reunited with her beloved husband, Guy, and her cherished son, Yvain.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Marshwood Center for the care and compassion they provided during Jeanne’s residency.
