Jeannine Paulette Mailhot McGraw passed away peacefully after a long illness on August 30, 2026, at the age of 91. She was born December 17, 1934, to Zephirin and Lucienne (Ouellette) Mailhot and was the youngest of their five children.
She was a lifelong resident of Lewiston - Auburn. After graduating from Lewiston High School, she worked in accounting and financial services. After becoming a mother in 1968, she stayed home with her children and worked as an accountant in the evenings. She enjoyed crafts, including ceramics, needlepoint, knitting and baking - and she never said no to a game of SCAT. Later in life and right up until the end, she was always ready to tackle a colorful puzzle. The more colors, the better. She liked to brag about how quickly she was able to complete them. She was a good - natured and generous soul who always went with the flow and never had an unkind word to say to anyone. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Normand McGraw; her sons, Ron McGraw and his wife Karen Bambrick; Dan McGraw and his wife Wendy; and her daughter Diane McGraw Dubuc. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Brian Dubuc and his wife Andrea, Corey Dubuc and Chloe McGraw, as well as two grand - pups, Monty and Finn. Survivors also include several nieces and nephews as well as grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased in death by her parents, Lucienne and Zephirin Mailhot and her brother Roger Mailhot, three sisters, Jeanne D'Arc Dozois, Noella Gauthier, and Gisele Gilbert, and her grand-daughter Casey Dubuc. The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Mary's Hospital for their gentle kindness and compassionate care during some very difficult times.
