He was born in Yuma, Az., May 10, 1962, the son of Donald Wayne and Judith Adams Sallee.
He was both a United States Marine Corps veteran serving as a Marine from 1979 to 1984. He then joined the United States Army where he served as a combat veteran in Afghanistan in a Transportation Battalion from 2011 to 2012. It was there he became a recipient of the Purple Heart.
Jeffery was an avid outdoorsman who loved the water and spending time with his family.
Survivors include one son David Sallee and wife Heidi of Lewiston, two daughters, Sophia Raymond and husband Steven of Chichester, NH., and Patricia Ann Sallee and husband Mark of Manchester, NH., one brother, Donald Sallee and wife April Bailey of Charleston, SC., two sisters, Lamar Sallee of Charleston, SC., and Deborah Stone and husband, Daryl of Sacramento, CA. as well as 11 grandchildren and 5 nieces and nephews.
Military honors honoring Jeffery’s life will be held 12:00 PM at the Maine Veterans Cemetery Chapel Mt. Vernon Rd., Augusta.
