She was born in Keegan, March 4, 1939 daughter of the late Mary Jane Lagassie. She was educated in Keegan schools and was married to Eldon Anderson who predeceased her in 2003. Prior to her retirement Joanna was employed for over 20 years at the Cary Medical Center in Caribou.
She enjoyed making jiggsaw puzzles and in her younger years enjoyed dancing.
She is survived by two daughters, Tammie Anderson and her partner Kathy Platt of Lewiston and Lori Petit of Texas; five grandchildren, Lisa Dube and husband Jon, Christopher Anderson and wife Tiffany, Rebecca Cyr, Heather and Daphne Petit; six great grandchildren; a brother, Davy Plourde of Stockholm and a special friend, Florence Corbin of Caribou.
She was predeceased by a son, Joseph Anderson.
