John graduated from Brewer High School. He proudly served in the Air Force for four years, after which he became the manager of Columbia Market in Bangor. Later, he was employed by the Diocese of Portland, contributing to his community with dedication and integrity.
John met the love of his life, Joy Andrews, and they were happily married for 62 years. He is survived by his children, John C. Rossignol and his wife Susan, and Joni L. O'Malley and her husband Brian. He also leaves behind his sister, Bertha Lewallen, and his grandchildren: Conor O'Malley and his wife Kelly, Shannon O'Malley and her fiancé Drew Lorinchak, Adele Rossignol and her fiancé Logan Clasby, and Evan Rossignol, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
In his personal life, John had a passion for fishing and was deeply committed to his faith. He found joy in these pursuits and shared them with those he loved.

A graveside service and military honors will be held at the Maine Veterans Cemetery, located on Mt Vernon Ave, Augusta, ME, on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 12:00 pm.
