John J. Schreiber

John was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 4, 1930, the son of Arthur and Agnes (White) Schreiber. In 1953, he married the love of his life, Denise Mailhot of Lewiston, ME, at Fort Lee, VA, where both were serving in the Army. John proudly served in both Korean and Vietnam Conflicts in the U.S. Army for 30 years before retiring in Lewiston.

He is survived by his loving wife Denise and five children: Michael and his wife Karen, John and his wife Monique, Denise Begin and her husband Ronald, Patricia and Cathleen Schreiber. He also leaves six grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.

He was devoted to his wife and extended family. He will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him.

SCHREIBER died in Lewiston, December 4, 2017, Mr. John J. Schreiber age 87 years a resident of Lewiston.

Funeral services honoring John’s life will be held 11:00AM MONDAY December 11th at the funeral home.

Committal prayers to follow at 1:00PM at the Maine Veterans Cemetery Chapel Mt. Vernon Rd. Augusta concluding with US Army Military Honors.
