

AUBURN- John J. Theberge, 77, of Lewiston died Saturday September 17, 2011 at the Hospice House of Androscoggin following a long illness. He was born in Rumford, Maine on February 8, 1934 the son of the late Michael and Anna (Bard) Theberge and had moved to Auburn with his family at the age of three. He was employed for many years at Lewiston Enterprise Foundry as a pattern maker and also was a skilled carpenter building several homes in the area. John took great pride in his family. He especially enjoyed going for breakfast with his sons.
He is survived by his wife the former Irma M. Sirois whom he married on November 28, 1953 of Lewiston; six sons Michael Theberge and his companion Terri Suminski of Turner, Thomas Theberge and his companion Cathy Berman of Los Angeles, California, Stephen Theberge and his companion Sharon Pelletier of Lewiston, Philip Theberge and his wife Joan of Lewiston, Peter Theberge and his wife Patricia of Leeds and Victor Theberge and his wife Sonia of Lewiston; two brothers Alphonse Theberge and his wife Doris of Lewiston and Normand Theberge and his wife Erika of Sabattus; one sister Gertrude Parkhurst and her husband John of York; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers Joseph and Harold Theberge; three sisters Fernande Champagne, Jeanne Foley and Dorothy Langeviene; two grandsons Jason and Matthew Theberge; and by a daughter-in-law Kathy Theberge. The family would like to thank the staff at The Lamp, Clover Manor and the Hospice House for the wonderful care John received through his final days.
