It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jonathan Kramarz “Jonny K”, a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Jonathan passed away unexpectedly at the gym, on 6/21/26 without us by his side, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
Born and raised in Auburn, Maine, Jonathan was the beloved son of John and Susan Kramarz. He grew up alongside his sisters, Jessica, Jennifer, and Julie, creating lifelong memories with his family and developing the values of loyalty, hard work, and compassion that would guide him throughout his life.
Jonathan was the loving husband of his wife, Beth, and a proud father to his daughter, Emily, and his son, Tristan. His family was the center of his world, and everything he did was for them. His children were his greatest pride and his greatest passion.
He never missed an opportunity to be there for his children whether it was cheering from the stands at baseball, basketball, or football games, celebrating milestones, or simply spending time together. He spent countless evenings at the baseball field with Tristan, never missing a chance to support his son and share in his love of the game. But Jonathan's encouragement extended far beyond his own children. At games and sporting events, it was often impossible to tell which child was his because he cheered just as loudly for every player on the field. He celebrated every success, encouraged every child, and made each athlete feel supported. His love for sports was matched only by his love for the young people who played them.
With Emily, he treasured their late-night and daily phone conversations, always making time to listen, offer advice, or simply be there whenever she needed him. He took great pride in teaching her to be independent, encouraging her to be strong, confident, and capable. The lessons he shared, the guidance he gave, and the unwavering support he provided helped shape the person she has become. His quiet presence, unconditional love, and steady encouragement spoke louder than words ever could.
Jonathan had a passion for sports from a very young age. A devoted Chicago Bears fan since the eighties, he remained loyal to his team throughout his life. His love for sports was something he carried with him every day, and over the years he passed that passion on to his son, Tristan. Sundays were reserved for watching Bears games together, creating a tradition and bond they both cherished. Whether it was football, baseball, basketball, or simply talking sports, these moments became some of their most treasured memories.
Jonathan attended Edward Little High School, where he continued his love of athletics by playing football, baseball and competing in track and field. Highschool is where he met his core group of friends and his high school sweetheart. His dedication, competitive spirit, and love of sports were evident during his high school years and remained a defining part of who he was throughout his life.
For 23 years, Jonathan worked at UPS, where he was known for his incredible work ethic, reliability, and the respect he earned from coworkers and customers. Through both his career and everyday life, he made a lasting impact on countless people not through grand gestures, but through his actions, his character, and the way he treated everyone with kindness and respect. He never sought attention or recognition, choosing instead to quietly lead by example.
Jonathan was also known for his dedication and discipline. He was at the gym every morning bright and early, a routine that reflected his commitment to health and hard work. Fitness was more than a personal passion it was something he loved to share with others. He enjoyed helping people achieve their goals, offering advice, encouragement, and support to anyone looking to improve themselves. Whether it was discussing workouts, sharing his knowledge, or motivating others to stay committed, Jonathan found genuine joy in helping people become stronger and more confident. His passion for fitness inspired many, and he took great pride in seeing others succeed.
Beyond sports, Jonathan had a deep love for music and podcasts and there was never a day that went by without it playing. He loved driving his Jeep with the top off, taking scenic rides with Beth and enjoying life's simple moments together. He cherished beach days with his wife and friends. He found joy in working around the house, always taking on a new DIY project and finding satisfaction in seeing everything come together.
He had a tremendous passion for yard work and took great pride in creating a home and yard that reflected the care and effort he put into everything he did. His faithful companion, Baxter, and cat Teddy made sure to never be far from his side.
He is survived by his loving wife, Beth; his children, Emily and Tristan, cat Teddy; his parents, John and Susan Kramarz; his sisters, Jessica Kramarz, Jennifer (Tom) Fournier and Julie Kramarz; niece Desiree, nephew Isaac. Nana & Poppy, Chuck along with many extended family members, friends, and coworkers who will miss him dearly. He is predeceased by our family dog Baxter, his grandparents Stanley & Muriel Kramarz , Pete & Anna Chabot, Elizabeth “Betty” Agathos, Peter Chabot.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Jonathan's love, strength, and example will remain with us always. His memory will live on in every family gathering, every Bears game, every Jeep ride with the top down, every song that reminds us of him, every evening spent at the ballfield, every late-night conversation, and in the hearts of all those who were blessed to call him family and friend.
To many, he was Jonathan. To others, he was simply "Jonny K." He will be remembered for his selflessness, humility, and the quiet way he changed people's lives. He never sought recognition he simply led by example. His kindness, strength, and love for his family left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His legacy is not measured by the recognition he received, but by the countless lives he touched, the family he cherished, and the example he set through his actions every day. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
