Joseph W. Jarvis

Leominster, MA - Joseph W. Jarvis, age 75, a resident of Dover St. in Fitchburg, MA, died Tuesday morning October 18th at his home in Fitchburg. Joseph was born in Lewiston, ME March 3, 1936, a son of Wilfred and Marie Anna (Michaud) Jarvis and was educated in Lewiston schools. Mr. Jarvis was a Military Veteran having served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was married to the former Sally A. McLaughlin who predeceased him in February 2011. Joe worked for many years in the Public Works Dept. for the city of Fitchburg in Massachusetts until his retirement. Despite living in Massachusetts most of his adult life, his bond with his family in Maine remained strong and everyone looked forward to his visits. He was a loving, devoted and hard-working husband and father who will be dearly missed and the memory his kindness and sense of humor will be a source of comfort for his family for years to come. Joe leaves his son Marcel Jarvis of Fitchburg, MA; Nephews Michael H. Bourget, Daniel W. Bourget and his wife Stephanie, several cousins, nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
