

AUBURN - Joseph A. Michaud, 90 a resident of Warren Avenue Lewiston formerly of Topsham died Monday, February 24th at the Hospice House following a brief illness. He was born in Bath March 10, 1923, the son of Joseph A., and Leonie (Lebel) Michaud. Joseph was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and was employed most of his life as a machinist for the Bath Iron Works Shipyard retiring several years ago. He was also a member of the American Legion in Topsham. He married the former Gloria Bolduc on November 25, 1949 in Brunswick and settled in Topsham. Survivors include two daughters, Anne-Marie Michaud of Greene, and Mariette Leino and husband, Mark of Lewiston; one sister, Louise Head of Augusta, Georgia; and two grandsons, Joshua and Caleb Leino both of Lewiston. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife the former Gloria Bolduc who died in 1998 as well as one sister, Eveline Michaud. Spring burial for both will be held later at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta.
