Karen...I remember the day I met Jim....I came home and told you about it...you were living with us at the time...I was just 16...you were 17...We later moved to the condo and shared a room....a very small room...LOL...we created a bond that spanned over the last 36 years...Tom,Karen,Nay& Jim...that was just the way it was!! I was honored to be your maid of honor when you married my wonderful cousin, who has always been a brother to me....I can't imagine my life without you in it. As I read through all the other condolences, it bought a smile to my face reading all the wonderful things people were saying about you....You really were a calm spirit...such a good balance for hot headed Tom...LOL You were blessed with 2 children...lucky for me....because I love them like my own....And when your first grand baby was born...I was honored to be a part of it...I told everyone I had given birth...LOL....I remember our vacations on the cape...weekends at OOB...trips to Florida, Jamaica, Aruba....and you were both there to spread my Dads ashes off the fantail of the ship in the Caribbean. When Mom died, you took it as hard as we did...after all...you were more of a sister....We have been so blessed to have had the last 10 years at camp....and I am so glad we had our own girls weekend last season...what fun we had....We truly have shared laughter and tears....Thank you for always being a loyal friend and confidant....I will miss solving the world problems with you...I hope to see you again some day..my friend...I love you!!!!

Tom, I was very sorry to hear about the passing of your wife - I heard the terrible news from Aunt Jo. Although I didn't know Karen, she sounded like a wonderful person who was loved by so many. I'm sure she will be sorely missed. Even though we lost touch after my family moved to Georgia, I still think of my "Hayes cousins" and remember with fondness the times we spent together as kids. You and your family are in my prayers.

I am so sad to hear of the news of Karen passing. My deepest sympathy to Tom, Sean, Kirsten, Kelly and Kenny. Karen and I grew up together and share so many memories. I am so glad to have had her as my best friend as a kid. We enjoyed so much together. It breaks my heart one of my bff's from grade school and high school was taken so young. She was a wonderful person. I am so sad I won't be able to see her again. Love you Karen we had such great times together - sleepovers - waiting for you to finish dinner so we could go out and play - our weekly talent show - gogo dancers - our yearly Cinderella movie - ice skating all day, walking home in our skates, then thinking we had frostbite cuz we couldn't feel our toes or fingers - picking blackberries by the buckets - and rubarb - seven up - chinese jumprope - tag - huge surprise bday you planned for me - barry clark - biking to Medway Park - Lampmans - Good Times we had together - So many firsts we experienced - Thanks for being such a great part of my life.

Mom, Where do i start. You were my whole world. even on the days we didn't see eye to eye You were my always my biggest supporter. There was never a moment you were not there when i needed you. From my childhood through our last days together we shared a bond that will last forever in my heart. You gave me so many values in life that can't be taken away.Jordan and Aubrey are missing you lots and we will make sure through pictures and memories that you live on forever in their hearts. I don't know where to begin life again without you in it. I hear it will get easier with time but i just can't imagine living everyday without hearing your voice or seeing your face. You were taken way to young but as they say only the good die young, Till we meet again mom I hope your up their shining over all of us giving us the strength and courage to carry on without you. Karen was so much like a sister to me for many years of my life. I remember Ken and I spending some time down in Mass. with her and Tom when Ken and I were teenagers. The fun we had. I do not even think Kristen was born yet... so long ago. Then, a little later in life spending many weekend evenings just hanging out having fun listening to music, singing and dancing. What awesome memories. How she and I and all of us loved the same music so much. It is so very hard to believe that my dear friend who I have missed so much has been taken so soon. Tom, Sean, Kristin, Kelly and Kenny; if there is anything I can do, anything you need, please let me know. I will always be here for all of you. Karen may have left us but the memories will live on with us forever. I am deeply saddened by your loss and I love you all, very, very much.

My condolences to the family of Karen Hayes

Tom, Sean, Kristen, Kenny & Keli- Our hearts broke when we learned of Karen's passing. She was the light of the family and always did her best for each of you. Please know that we are here for all of you, so please call on us when you need something, or just want to talk, or even a shoulder to cry on. There is nothing we wouldnt do for your family. Karen is an awesome soul who we will never forget. We love you all so much and am dearly sorry God took her so young.

Karen is part a family of the greatest people we have ever known. The flood of fond memories from so many years are amazing, and weather we were surrounded by fun, drama, sadness or whatever life was throwing at us, she was always composed, calm, sweet, and ready to listen and give her unbiased, sweetest opinion in a way that would always make someone feel better. Truly a great woman and even greater friend. We will miss her more than we can express.

We met Karen and Tom thru bowling at Good Time Lanes. We have so many fun memories of Karen. You always knew you were in for a great time when Karen was around. She was a special spirit and a wonderful soul. She will be greatly missed by all who were touched by her. Our heart goes out to the Hayes family and friends.

I feel very blessded to have known Karen and have the memories we have shared. Lots of laughs and who can forget the karaoke until wee hours of the morning. Everyone who knew you knew your family was your life especially your grandchildren. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of them. I am blessed to have been able to call you a friend. RIP Karen you will be missed but never forgotten!

I have very fond memories of Karen and the rest of the family at their house in northern Maine and our times at Sesco working together. I loved the karaoke singing and making the frozen drinks and sharing a bunch of laughs. Karen was such a sweet lady and never spoke I'll of anyone. I know she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. May God bless her and keep her and be with her family in this hour of need. Rest in Peace Karen.

I was happy to have known Karen. We used to bowl together at Good Time Lanes in Lisbon Falls. Some of my fondest memories from that is with Karen Hayes. We laughed, we bowled, we joked, we bowled, we just had a great time! I'm going to miss you my friend. My deepest sympathy goes out to Karen Hayes family. Just know that she is up in heaven watching over each and every one of you.
