

AUBURN- Lottie Jane McKay, of Poland, Maine, passed away at the age of 73, on Thursday September 3, 2009 at the Hospice House of Androscoggin with Everett and her family at her side. She was born in Poland, Maine on September 20, 1935 the daughter of the late Frank and Fannie Fields of Poland. She attended Poland schools. She worked at Stride Rite and many local shoe shops. Lottie married Everett McKay on September 1, 1984, but they have been together for 42 years. She enjoyed going to Florida with her husband Everett every year. She also enjoyed playing bingo, cards and her computer games, but most of all enjoyed all of her family. Lottie's family was her life. She is survived by her loving husband Everett of Poland; her six sons Lloyd and KimBeth Merchant of Turner, Norman Merchant of Gray, Bucky (Ronald) and Sue Merchant of Auburn, Ernie Merchant and his partner Ray of South Carolina, Harold and Rhonda Merchant of Poland and John and Marie Merchant of Mechanic Falls; five daughters Rose and Gerry Boisvert of Poland, Tina Cothran of Mechanic Falls, Lisa and Joe Lipinski of Augusta, Debbie and Walter Raymond of Chelsea and Tabitha and Tim Dunton of Augusta; a brother Arnold and Myrtle Fields of Florida; a sister Bessie and Clinton Farnsworth of Florida; two brother-in-laws Harvey and Linda McKay of Florida and Mike and Marlene Kearney of New Hampshire; a sister-in-law Grace Vellieux of New Hampshire; 28 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins; many friends Evelyn, Sheilia, Maxine and Marlene; and her loving companion Rosie, her Jack Russel, which will greatly miss her. She was predeceased by a great granddaughter Gabbriella; and one brother Franklin Fields. Our heartfelt thank-yous and deepest appreciation to the staff and volunteers at the Hospice House for their kindness, caring and compassion during this difficult time.
