Louis graduated from Edward Little High School in 1948. Following his graduation, he joined the US Army, serving his country for two years. After his military service, he was employed at the local telephone company, where he dedicated 30 years of his professional life.
In 1951, Louis married his beloved wife, Rita Bernard. Together, they built a loving family and shared many cherished memories. He is survived by his spouse, Rita L. Collet; his son, Daniel L. Collet and his wife, Donna; and his granddaughter, Kayla M. Saucier and her husband, Andrew. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Elliot L. Saucier and Maxwell J. Saucier.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Blanche (Cote) Collet, his siblings, Sr. Rolande Collet, Cecile Jennings, Jeannette Carroll, and Alfred Collet.
A man of many interests, Louis enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. He spent his summers up at camp on Thompson Lake, a place of joy and relaxation for him. He was also an active member of the National Ski Patrol for many years. One of his favorite pastimes was making fishing lures with his son, a hobby that brought them closer together.
Louis Alphonse Collet will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his community, and his many contributions throughout his long and fulfilling life.
