He was born in Lewiston on May 31, 1934 the son of Louis and Corona Mailhot Lamontagne Sr. Louis married his wife, Silvette, in January of 1953 and together they raised their family.
Louis attended local catholic schools before opening his own business as a carpenter. When he was not working or spending time with his family he loved to fish or work on his hobby of making stained glass items. He was a member of Our Lady of The Rosary Church in Sabattus.
He is survived by his daughter Diane and her husband John R. Wright of Sabuttus, 2 sisters Connie Beaucague and Priscilla Charpentier; 2 brothers Robert and Morris Lamontagne; and 2 grandchildren Keith and Matthew Wright; and 4 great grandchildren Gage, Ava, Gary, and Cadance Wright.
