

Louise was born on August 29, 1923, the daughter of Cornelius and Katherine (Finnegan) Russell.
Raised in Lewiston, Louise attended Lewiston High School, and graduated from Nasson College. She then worked for the Department of Health & Human Services for several years. After moving to Connecticut, she joined CIGNA in 1959 and retired in 1984.
On June 22, 1946, Louise married Albin Norbut at the Poland Spring Chapel in Poland, Maine. They were happily married for 54 years until he died on July 10, 2000.
Louise was beloved by many friends. She enjoyed volunteering, especially for being and helping those at hospitals. Louise was also a parishioner of the former St. Patrick’s Church in Lewiston and St. Maximillian Kolbe Church in Scarborough. Later in life, with one of Louise’s best friend, who also worked at CIGNA, was Fran Quinn. Both enjoyed many telephone call together on Sunday evenings.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her brother John C. Russell, his wife Jean E. Russell, and her nephew Thomas Russell.
Survivors who will cherish her memory are niece Patricia R. Holst from Flagstaff, AZ., their nephews James B. Russell from Billings, MT, John C. Russell from Bozeman, MT., and Joseph C. Russell from Burnsville, MN; nephew Michael Adams and niece Patricia Adams of Lewiston, grandchild Matthew Adams from NYC, Beth Earle and Bryan Earle from Lisbon,, ME., and also surviving are great grandchildren Madison and Griffin Earle of Lisbon, ME.
A graveside committal service will be celebrated in the spring at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lewiston.
