

LEBANON, NH - Lucille C. Ficaro, 94, widow of Salvatore L. Ficaro, died Sunday, April 18, 2021 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. One of eleven children of Henry and Anna Carbonneau, Lucille was born and raised in Lewiston, ME. In 1949 Lucille moved to Hartford, CT where she worked for the telephone company until meeting Salvatore, her husband of 64 years. Lucille and Sal were married October 6, 1951 and lived in Hartford before settling in West Hartford, CT to raise their four children. Family was always Lucille’s priority.
Lucille loved to garden, arrange flowers and was passionate in learning something new and keeping abreast of national and world events. Her passion for learning never ceased. She was also very fond of playing card games and keeping in touch with relatives and friends to catch up and provide her well wishes. Deeply religious, Lucille was a longtime communicant of Saint Brigid Church in West Hartford, CT and, upon retiring with Sal to Maine, the Holy Cross Church in Lewiston. After Sal’s passing in 2016, Lucille lived in East Granby, CT with her son, Thomas. She then moved to live with her daughter, Donna, in Grantham, NH.
Lucille, leaves 4 children and spouses, Donna and Mark Ellis of Grantham, NH; James and Linda Ficaro of Berlin, MA; Thomas Ficaro of East Granby, CT and John and Kim Ficaro of Williamsburg, VA; six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Cassandra, Christina, Joseph, James and Marc; two great-grandchildren, Sonia and Rachel; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Holy Cross Church, 1080 Lisbon Street, Lewiston, ME. Burial at Saint Peter’s Cemetery, 217 Switzerland Road, Lewiston, ME, AND will commence after the service. Calling hours will be April 28, 2021 from 9 - 10:30 a.m. at the Pinette, Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway, Lewiston, ME.
All attendees are required by the Maine CDC to wear face coverings and maintain social distancing during the services.
