

Auburn, ME – Marie May R. (Guerrette) Pelletier, 95, of Auburn passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, at the Odd Fellows & Rebekah Home. She was the wife of the late Maurice J. Pelletier who died on October 26, 2012.
She was born in St. Agatha, ME on May 9, 1930, a daughter of the late Patrick & Lillian (Bosse) Guerrette. She grew up in St. Agatha, moving to Lewiston at the age of 16, obtaining her GED from Lewiston High School.
Marie May worked for Arrow Hart and also worked as a shoe stitcher before working as a spinner for Hill Mill in Lewiston. Her final job was doing housekeeping work for St. Mary’s Hospital.
She did a lot of volunteer work for Holy Cross Parish in Lewiston throughout her life and was a part of several prayer groups. Marie May also enjoyed needlepointing, cross-stitching, and sewing. Her and her husband played in a band, the Silvertones, where Marie May played the spoons. She also spent her spare time on wood art painting as well as wooden floor refinishing and she also enjoyed the occasional puzzle.
She is survived by her five children, Gerry Pelletier and his wife Pauline of Lewiston, Anne Moreau and her husband Roland of Lisbon, ME, Jeanne Mavor and her husband Jim, of Hebron, ME, Russell Pelletier and his wife Simonne of Litchfield, ME and Donald Pelletier and his wife Rhonda of Litchfield. She also leave behind seven grandchildren Kristine Birkel and her husband Sean, Kellie Pelletier, Angie Mooney and her husband Tom, Jamie Roy and her husband Brendan, Ben Moreau and his wife Heather, Taylor Pelletier and Amber Pelletier, eight great grandchildren Logan and Henry Birkel, Liam Mooney, Jack, Max and Izzy Roy, Gabriel and Abby Moreau, as well as her nine siblings Lucielle Albert, Roland Guerrette, Berthier Guerrette and his wife Charlene, Jeanine Levesque and her husband Guildo, Rosaire Guerrette and his partner Sandra, Reginald Guerrette and his wife Pauline, Lorraine Devost and her husband Emmanuel, Anne Marie Ouellette and Philip Guerrette and his wife Glenna as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Lucien and Conrad Guerrette.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, May 26, 2025 from 4 - 7 pm at The Fortin & Pinette Group, 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway, Lewiston, ME. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 11 am at Holy Cross Church, 1080 Lisbon St, Lewiston, ME, followed by committal prayers at St Peter Cemetery, Lewiston.
