

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael R. Morin, age 75, who left this world on May 4, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Michael was born on October 11, 1950, in Lewiston, Maine, the son of Milton and Rita Morin, who predeceased him.
A proud U.S. Marine, Michael served his country honorably during the Vietnam War, embodying the spirit of bravery and dedication that shaped his life. After his military service, he pursued a career in law enforcement, becoming a police officer and detective with the Auburn Police Department. Michael later transitioned to the Maine Department of Corrections, where he made significant contributions as a probation officer and ultimately served as a facility director.
Following his retirement from the Department of Corrections, Michael became the director of the Lewiston/Auburn 911 dispatch center, where he continued to serve his community with unwavering commitment and dedication.
Michael is survived by his son, Jeff Morin and wife Rosalie; his daughter, Michelle Bruns and husband Darren; and his cherished role as Papa to five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his siblings, Linda, Steve, Carol, Randy, and Rachel; he is pre-deceased by his brother James. He remained close with his former wife, Christine Morin.
In addition to his devotion to family and community, Michael was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, and he loved riding his Harley, often embracing the freedom of the open road.
Michael R. Morin will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of service, love, and adventure will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
