Auburn – Murielle I Caron, 92, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 16, 2019 at The Androscoggin Hospice House with her family by her side. She was born in Lewiston, Maine on August 11, 1926, a daughter of the late Jean Baptiste and Alpheda (Beaudoin) Morin. She attended local schools before going to work in the shoe industry as a dresser working at various shoe manufacturers such as Billing Shoe, Bell Moc and Falcon Shoe for over 45 years. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, Holy Cross Church. She enjoyed playing cards, shopping at Dollar Tree stores, watching TV, especially: “Let’s Make a Deal” and “Price is Right”. When she was younger, she loved to sing and yodel. She recorded a record called “The Waltz of the Bride.” She loved going out for walks and especially spending time with her family.
Murielle is survived by 4 daughters: Monique, Connie, Sue Caron all of Lewiston, Diane Carroll of Florida, one son: Maurice Caron of Lewiston, one brother: Rosaire Morin of Greene, 8 grandchildren and 7 Great-grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a son: Norman Caron, a sister: Pauline Lanois and 3 brothers: Robert, Normand and Conrad Morin.
The family would like to thank Androscoggin Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Cross Church on Monday, April 22 at 1pm. Interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Auburn.
