Nancy A. Bellegarde

Nancy was the wife of Charles J. Bellegarde, Jr. She was born in Caribou, ME., the youngest child of Vital and Camille (Fournier ) Cyr. Nancy was a woman of many talents. She was an accomplished seamstress, artist and an outstanding athlete, counting golf, tennis, skiing, bowling and pickleball among her competitive endeavors. More than that, Nancy was a devoted wife and mother. She was a strong advocate for her children who include: Lynda Foisy, Kenneth Foisy and his wife Pat, Michelle Vivieros and her husband John and her youngest child, Deanne Bellegarde, who she lost to illness at a very young age.

Nancy and Charlie built a wonderful life together, living in Lewiston until Charlie’s retirement. In 2002, they relocated to The Villages, FL. where they spent quality time together, making many new friends while maintaining their long-term connections with their many Maine friends.

Nancy is survived by one sister, Theresa Bell of Lewiston, three children ( Lynda Foisy, Kenneth Foisy and Michelle (Bellegarde) Viveiros ), nine grandchildren ( Kelsie Fahey, Glenn Hood, Ryann Hood, Dustin Foisy, George Foisy, Deanne (Viveiros) Munn and Cory Viveiros ) and four great-grandchildren ( Hunter and Haven Hood, Charlotte (Charlie) and John Munn.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Charlie, her sister, Rita Eldredge, her brother, Roland Cyr and her youngest daughter, Deanne Bellegarde.

BELLEGARDE died in Bristol, RI February 22, 2018, Mrs. Nancy A. Bellegarde age 89 years formerly of Lewiston.

A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Nancy's life will be celebrated 11:00 AM TUESDAY February 27th at Holy Family Church. Committal prayers to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
