Nancy was an incredibly dear person to my heart. We'd known one another a number of years through the local buying club and farmers' market. She was a regular at the market and we had just talked together a few days earlier.  I always enjoyed our conversations and took comfort in her presence of mind, warmth and humor.  Nancy was attentive, thoughtful and funny.  She was usually the first to notice an error - in an order form or receipt- but just as quick to show appreciation and make you feel valued and seen.  A few years ago I moved in to Nancy's neighborhood and looked forward to our passing talks on the street, especially the times when I had my daughter and Nancy had Genevieve.  Our community has lost a wonderful and special person and will always feel a little more empty because of it for me. It's in moments like these you realize the ways in which we are inextricably linked. When a connection disappears everything can feel much more tenuous and less whole. Nancy was who she was of course, because of her wonderful family whom I am so grateful for in this world. I wish all of them healing, love, and strength during this time and in the future. - Sherie
