Noella L. Carrier

She was born December 25, 1931 in Lawrence, MA the daughter of George and Lucienne (Pelletier) Labonte.

She was educated in local schools graduating from St. Dominic High School in 1951. She was married September 13, 1952 to Leonile “Nel” Carrier.

Noella was employed at Hoods Mailing and Printing and later Northeast Bank where she was forced to leave for health reasons.

While residing in Lewiston she was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at Holy Family and belonged to the St. Anne Sodality. She was also very involved with resident activities when residing at the Auburn Esplanade Apartments.

Noella enjoyed painting, showing and selling her art in local shows, while later enjoying hand crafting greeting cards.

She is survived by a daughter, Jeanne Sample and husband Steven of Pensacola, Florida; two grandsons, William and partner Jessica of Yorktown, Virginia and Jeremy and wife Sarah of Coon Rapids, Minnesota.; six great grandchildren, Alisa, Lincoln, Ryden, Briggs, Cameron and Mason.

Noella was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Leonile “Nel” Carrier and a brother Raymond Labonte.

A Memorial Mass will be held 11 am Monday, May 23rd at Holy Family Church, 607 Sabattus Street, Lewiston.

Arrangements are with The Fortin Group, 70 Horton Street, Lewiston.
