

Lewiston - Normand D. Mailhot, 63, of Lewiston, passed away on Monday March 11, 2013, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center with his family by his side. Normand was born on April 10, 1949, in Lewiston, the son of the late Donat and Therese (Pelletier) Mailhot. He attended local schools graduating from St. Dominic High School in the class of 1967. He then went on to attend Northeastern University graduating with a degree in Business Administration in 1972. He lived in Boston for a few years before moving back to Lewiston to care for his mother and younger sister. He worked in Lewiston doing various jobs before suffering many health problems. He then lived at D'youville Pavilion for the remainder of his life. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, Holy Cross Church and a past member of The Knights of Columbus. Normand is survived by his sister, Linda Gondeck and her husband Jeff of Turner, 2 nieces: Jennifer Gondeck and Kimberly Gondeck of Levant. He was predeceased by his parents Donat and Therese (Pelletier) Mailhot. Visitation will be held in at The Fortin Funeral Home in Lewiston on Thursday from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM at Holy Cross Church in Lewiston. Committal will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Lewiston.
