

Normand L. Pelletier, 70 of Lewiston passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 10 after a brave fight with Lewy Body Dementia.He was born in Lewiston on November 3, 1944 to the late Albert and Annette Pelletier. He was predeceased by two brothers, Raymond and Roger, and two brothers-in-law, Arthur Spear and Roland Jalbert. Normand attended local schools in both Lewiston and Auburn an entered the Navy upon graduation serving for four years. He was employed by Geiger Brothers for 43 years. Norm was best known for his sense of humor and could make anyone laugh regardless of the situation. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, going to the beach and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jeannine C. ( Jalbert) Pelletier and his children, Anne-Marie Flaherty and her husband David of Cranston, Rhode Island, and Gary Pelletier and his wife Kristina of La Grange, Kentucky. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashley Flaherty and Gabriel, Xavier and Dominic Pelletier. Normand also leaves behind one brother, Richard Pelletier and his wife Rose of Lewiston as well as six sisters, Claire Feeney and her husband Don of Westbrook, Del Levesque and her husband Tony of Lewiston, Claudette Spear of Auburn, Connie Ludington and her husband Steve of Pittsburgh, Jeannine S. Pelletier of Auburn and Michelle Connor and her husband Ed of West Springfield, Massachusetts as well as two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Sullivan of San Francisco and Jeannette Pelletier of Lewiston and three brothers-in-law, John Jalbert and his wife Marianne of Mechanic Falls, Bert Jalbert and his wife Judy of Lisbon Falls and Mike Jalbert and his wife Lianne of Lewiston. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Norm's family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Clover Manor, Galway Unit and the hospice workers at Androscoggin Home Care for the excellent care they provided.
Visitation Friday October 16th Fortin Group Lewiston 4 - 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Church 11am on Saturday October 17th.
