He was born on February 20, 1953 to Alcide and Marie Parent and grew up in Lewiston, ME.
After graduating Lewiston High School in 1971, he began working for Bath Iron Works as a welder and later became a tool keeper. He enjoyed working on cars, taking long drives in the country, and spending time with family and friends.
Ray is predeceased by his parents Alcide and Marie Parent, sister Linda Vaillancourt, sister and brother-in-law Claudette and Gard Enman, and two nephews Donald and Kevin Vaillancourt.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Douglas Rioux, son and daughter-in-law Nathaniel and Jennifer Parent, sisters Doris Parent, Rachel Parent, and Diane Bannister, grandchildren Bailey and Chase Rioux, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Ray’s family wishes to thank the staff at the Marshwood Center in Lewiston for providing care for him for the past two years.
A private funeral service and Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
