Richard was born in Lisbon Maine on January 22, 1945, son of Sylvio and Lillian Gamache. He attended Lisbon Schools and South Portland Vocation Training, where he studied to be a mechanic.
Richard worked for many years as a mechanic and in later years purchased and drove a dump truck.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed watching hockey and was an avid Boston Bruins and Black Bear fan.
He is survived by his son Timothy Gamache of Monmouth, his daughter Lisa Bolen and husband Jim or Augusta, his grandchildren Jennifer Gamache, Nicole Coulombe, Michelle Wing and Nathan Gamache, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Paul.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 2 pm at the American Legion, 10 Webster St, Lisbon Maine.
