Richard Thomas Lanman

Richard "Rick" Thomas Lanman, age 62, passed away on June 29, 2021 in Auburn, Maine after a battle with cancer. Rick was born in Columbus, Ohio to Richard Lewis Lanman and Shirley McGary Gardner. Rick served in the Marine Corps and retired from the Army. He was an aviation enthusiast, taught at Southern Illinois University, and was the airport manager in Mena, Arkansas and in Auburn-Lewiston, Maine. He is survived by his wife, Nicki Wasdin, and her children and grandchildren, and his son, Richard Lanman. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gary Lewis Lanman. Services will be held with military honors at Ft. Smith National Cemetery, Arkansas on August 20th at 3pm. Memorial donations may be made in Rick’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
