February 23, 1964 – July 6, 2026. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, adopted by Peter and Priscilla Low naming him; Richard Branch Low. In 1998 he found his birth mother, reclaiming his name, becoming Richard Mark Trudelle.
He graduated from Holliston High School in 1983 enlisting in the United States Air Force. He served 6 years as a Strategic Aircraft Maintenance Specialist, on the legendary KC-135, earning the rank: Staff Sergeant. Alaska was his dream station, here Rick welcomed his firstborn son, Jacob Low. Life choices gave them separate paths. Rick prayed daily for a chance to reconcile with him and ask forgiveness. Jacob was never forgotten.
Following his military service, Rick earned an Associates at Newbury College. He went on to build a career as an Automotive Service Advisor, known for giving car advice, whether anyone asked for it or not. He had a strong work ethic and willingness to tackle anything and fulfilled his dream of creating a Lobster Business, where Jake worked alongside him.
He loved cooking, camping, fishing, four-wheeling, airplanes and classic muscle cars. The outdoors always called to him. Some of his favorite places included: Lake Champlain, Mount Blue, Sebec Lake and countless corners of New England. This calling is imprinted on, his loving daughter, Savannah.
Savannah's favorite childhood memories were the simple ones she shared with her dad: Breakfasts' at the Starlight Café in Bath, lunches at The Sea Basket in Wiscasset, or quick trips to Puffin Stop, where she'd get bug juice while Rick grabbed his daily cup of Joe.
Sebec Lake held a special place in his heart, as it was there, after 11 years, on August 31, 2019, that he married the love of his life, Theresa McClure.
At 57 Rick found a deeper purpose through faith. He became a devoted member of Pathway Vineyard Church, where he was baptized. It was there he learned of the gift of Grace. He leaves behind countless loving brothers and sisters in Christ from the life groups he joined to devour knowledge about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
His family extends heartfelt gratitude for every prayer, visit and act of kindness during his hospitalizations. He leaves behind countless people whose lives were brighter because he knew them. Rick is survived by his beloved wife, Theresa Trudelle; his sister-in-law, Michele, spouse:Ron Barriault; cherished children:Jacob Low, Savannah Trudelle, Brian Dowd, Thomas Dowd, Tucker Chase and spouse Kristin, Caleb O'Brien, girlfriend Lydia; his extended Canadian family, his dear friend: Peter Murphy, who introduced him to his sister Karen, who gave him his daughter, Savannah.Pete remained a dear friend throughout Rick's illnesses.
He was predeceased by his birth mother, Betsy Trudelle; his parents-in-law, Edward McClure and Danielle Boisvert. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the compassionate doctors, nurses, and staff of Ferenius Kidney Center in Lewiston, Maine Medical Center in Portland, St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, and Andwell Hospice House in Auburn.
Rick lived with humor, conviction, generosity, and a love for the outdoors. He had an unmatched ability to make people laugh at the most inappropriate moments, and somehow still get away with it. Though he is now walking with God, his memory will live on in every campfire under the stars, every laugh sparked by an off-color joke, and every cast where that ole' fish gets away.
A Memorial Service followed by a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Pathway Vineyard Church in Lewiston, Maine. Officiated by Malik Hall.
