Robert "Bob" F. Poulin

Lewiston-Robert “Bob” F. Poulin, 70, passed away Saturday February 17, 2018 at his home with his wife Helen of 29 years by his side. He was born on May 7, 1947 in Brunswick, Maine the son of the late Patrick and Jeannette (Gravel) Poulin.

He started his accounting career working for the Administrative Office of the Courts, and after 19 years he left the position as Chief Accountant.

Bob together with his wife, Helen Poulin, embarked on an array of business endeavors including; owning and operating Mystique Party and Costume Shoppe and Halloween World for many years. He enjoyed the challenge of buying and flipping houses. Presently Bob and Helen own and operate Austin’s Business Services and have for the past 18 years.

In addition to his business ventures Bob was appointed as a bail commissioner 40 years ago and continued to serve until his passing. Bob was also elected as the Androscoggin County Treasurer in the year 2000 and had recently resigned his position on February 6, 2018. He was a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks Club of Lewiston.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, playing Pac Man and spending time with his family and fur babies; Chloe and Ginger, but most of all his all-time favorite thing to do was going out to dinner. Bob will always be remembered for his charismatic personality and could put a smile on your face with his funny remarks and his unique sense of humor.

Besides his wife Helen, he is survived by his sons; Justin Poulin of South Paris and Craig Coulombe, and his companion Robynn Raymond of Farmington, his daughter, Crystal Lachance and her husband Danny of Sabattus, six grandchildren; Corbin, Trevor, Brandon, Jadah, Alexa and Korie, two sisters; Jeanne Capriotti and her husband Lawrence of Somerville, MA and Jeannine Ebert and her husband Larry of Hanford, CA. Bob was predeceased by his daughter, Vanessa Sampson and by a brother Richard Poulin.

The family would like to thank all of the friends and relatives that reached out during Bob’s illness, your kindness will forever be remembered.

POULIN-Passed away Feb. 17th. Robert F. age 70 of Lewiston. Funeral services celebrating Bob’s life will be held on Thursday Feb. 22nd at 11:00AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
