

KINSTON, NC - Robert “Robi”L. Robitaille, 77 a resident of Lewiston died Sunday, January 6th in North Carolina following a long illness. He was born in Lewiston, July 12, 1935 the son of Willie and Rose (Champagne) Robitaille. Robert was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, and was employed most of his life as a machinist and completed his career As a Tin Smith at BIW for over 25 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, summer outings, and camping with family and friends. He especially loved baseball and his favorite team was the Yankees. He loved to tease family and friends about the the NY/Boston rivalry. He was hard working and instilled this value upon his children. Survivors include two daughters, Debra Goodwin and husband Mark of Kirkland, WA; Vicky Batchelder and husband Kevin of Shrewsbury, MA; three sons, Michael and wife Alecia of Waldoboro; Marc and wife Ann of Kinston, NC, and Daniel and wife Suzanne of New Gloucester; one sister, Priscilla . Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, He was predeceased by an infant brother, Roger.
