

LEWISTON - Roger Joseph Beaule passed away peacefully Thursday night, April 19, 2007 at home with his wife and family. Roger was born on Pond Road in Lewiston on June 21, 1913 to the late David and Alice (Bilodeau) Beaule. On May 22, 1954 he married the love of his life, Rolande (Marchand) Beaule. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending many wonderful times hunting, fishing and camping with his loving wife, Rolande. He was a patron of Classical Music and could spending many hours listening to the various concertos. He loved to nurture his garden, where he spent many hours "talking" to his tomato plants, routinely making them "blush". He always felt life was "too serious" and made a point of making light of things and always looking at the bright side of things. He thrived on doing for others and would give you the shirt off his back. He was a loving and devoted husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Roger was a Sergeant in the army in World War IT in the Anti-Aircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion, serving in France, Belgium and Germany. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his outstanding leadership qualities. He worked over 40 years at Gould & Scammon, Inc. as well as over 12 years in his private bulldozer business. Roger is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rolande of Lewiston; three sons, Jeffrey Beaule, Raymond and his wife Pamela (Begin) Beaule, and Keith and his wife Julie (Talbot) Beaule; three brothers, Bertrand Beaule, Leo Beaule, and Gerard and his wife Gilberte (Desrochers) Beaule; one sister, Jeannette (Beaule) Chandonnet; five grand-children, Erin Beaule, Lance Corporal Ian Beaule, USMC, Lance Corporal Evan Beaule, USMC, Ryan Beaule, and Justin Smith; three great-grandchildren, Isaac Peachey, Rashoen Powell, Maliyah Powell; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Beaule and Ralph Beaule; and six sisters, Fleurange (Beaule) Grenier, Therese (Beaule) Galipeau, Odile (Beaule) Cyr, Clotilde (Beaule) Rioux, Irene Beaule, and Irene (Beaule) Longchamps. The family would like to extend their extreme appreciation to the loving caregivers at Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice. They provided much comfort and care to him and his family during his last days with them.
