Roger J. Jalbert

PLYMOUTH, MA---Roger J. Jalbert died suddenly on March 29, 2018 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, MA. He was born in Lewiston on September 4, 1921 a son of the late Alphonse and Clemence (Grandmaison) Jalbert. Roger attended St. Peter's School and graduated from Lewiston High School. He worked as a station agent for the Maine Central Railroad. After retiring, he grew Christmas trees at the "Spruce Valley Tree Farm" on Webster St. He enjoyed spending time outside, a good hockey game and traveling throughout Canada. Roger was a devoted family man, a loving husband to Georgette and a wonderful father to Sue. He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne and her husband, Pasquel and their son, Joseph. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Georgette, his brothers: Fr. Paul, Henry, Emile, Adrien, Gerard, John, Edmond and Roland and his sisters, Yvette Doyle and Jeanne Stevens and her son Charlie. A Funeral Mass will be held for Roger and Georgette on Friday April 20, 2018 at the Basilica of Ss.Peter & Paul (upper church) at 11am. Committal prayers and interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Lewiston.
