Ronald W. Tanguay

Auburn - Ronald W. "Tank" Tanguay, 62 of Lewiston was called home by his Heavenly Father Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the Hospice House following a long illness. He passed away with the love of his life by his side. He was born in Lewiston, March 6, 1949 son of the late Armand and Annette Laliberty Tanguay. Tank attended Lewiston schools where he enjoyed playing on the football team. He was the beloved husband of Linda Gervais whom he married on January 13, 1973. They were blessed with one child, a daughter, Veronica whom he adored. He was the loving grandfather of Heaven, Autumn and Avren. Tank worked for many years doing drywall and also as a chef before becoming a truck driver. He retired from Brink's in 2008. He enjoyed playing games, cooking, watching sports and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Linda of Lewiston; his daughter Veronica Deschenes and husband Richard of Sabattus; his grandchildren, Heaven Morse, Autumn Morse and Avren Deschenes all of Sabattus; his brothers, Gerald Tanguay and wife Anita of Lewiston and Michael Dube and wife Tracey of Palmyra, N.Y.; his father and mother-in-law, Emery and Rita Gervais of Lewiston; nieces, nephews and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and many aunts and uncles including Daniel "Lib" Laliberty who was more like a brother and also his best friend. Tank's family wishes to thank Dr. Mc Crann, Dr. Smith and Beth, the staff at CMMC M-1 and the Androscoggin Hospice House for their loving care.

Visitation at the funeral home Sunday from 5-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Church. Committal to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
