Born to Conrad and Dorothy Allen, Sally was raised in Sabattus, Maine, and grew into a woman known for her kindness, humor, and unmistakably strong personality. For many years, she ran a family daycare, providing loving care to countless children. Her home was a place of comfort, learning, and laughter, and many of the children she nurtured continued to stay in touch with her well into adulthood, a testament to the deep and lasting impact she had on their lives.
Sally is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Bob Willard; her daughter, Dawn Willard-Robinson, and son-in-law, Peter Robinson; and her cherished grandson, Gareth Robinson, who brought immeasurable joy and pride to her life.
She was predeceased by her siblings Paul “Jim” Allen, Phillip Allen, and Lorraine Cloutier. She is survived by her sisters Elaine Lebel and Mary Lou Bears, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends who will forever hold her memory dear.
Sally treasured time spent with family and friends, especially gathering by the pool, where she loved sharing stories, laughter, and warm summer days. She also enjoyed playing beano, going bowling, and sitting down for a spirited game of cards—and she approached every one of these pastimes with her trademark competitive energy. Whether at the beano table or on the bowling lane, Sally was always a formidable and enthusiastic opponent.
Sally was a frequent volunteer and long-time supporter of Pine Tree Camp, a place whose mission and community were close to her heart. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in her memory be directed to Pine Tree Camp, honoring her love and dedication to a cause she held dear.
She will be commemorated at a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date, with details to be announced.
Sally will be remembered for her love, her strength, her fierce spirit, and the many lives she touched with her warmth and generosity.
