Sandra L. Cotton

LEWISTON - Sandra L. Cotton, 68, of Auburn, died Thursday at Central Maine Medical Center with her family at her side after a period of failing health. She was born in Old Town on June 8, 1944 the daughter of the late John and Roberta (Sturgeon) Reed. She attended Edward Little High School, and then on August 4, 1962 she married Edwin Cotton, Sr., who passed away in March of 2008. Sandra worked for many years in the local shoe industry and prior to retirement she worked for several years for Tambrands. Her interests included extensive travel throughout the United States, visiting 47 of the 50 United States with her husband, Edwin. She also enjoyed socializing at the Pastime Club in Lewiston. Survivors include two sons; Edwin Jr., and wife Debra of Auburn, and John and wife Laura of Jonesport; two daughters, Laurie Campbell of South Carolina, Kelley Karkos of Auburn, her stepfather, Herbert Larlee of Lisbon; two sisters, Linda Jordan of Florida, and Dorrie Peaco, and husband, Warner of Florida. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, Tyler, Deanna, Zachary, Ryan, Michael, Kyle and fiance Stephanie, Jeremy and wife Sarah and Matthew. Two great grandchildren, Kolby, and Khloe; aas well as aunts, cousins, and special friends. She was predeceased by one grandson, Kenneth Karkos, one brother, Curt Reed, and one step brother Craig Larlee. Funeral services will be held MONDAY 10:00AM with Chaplain Kathleen O'Wril presiding from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son.
