AUBURN: Sylva S. Beaucage, 87, of Auburn peacefully passed away on Tuesday November 6, 2018 at Clover Manor in Auburn with his loving family by his side. He was born in Lewiston on August 28, 1931 a son of the late Romeo and Eva (Daigneault) Beaucage. He grew up in the Lewiston area and attended local schools there. In 1951, Sylva proudly joined the United States Air Force and served his country during the Korean War. While he was serving his country he met Constance Lamontagne in 1952 and the two were married on January 7, 1956 at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn. They shared 62 wonderful and memorable years together. During that time, Sylva worked as a shoe factory worker and as a metal fabrication specialist for Philips Elmet for 21 years until his retirement. Sylva will always be remembered for his love of woodworking. He also had very keen sense of humor and could often be found joking around with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by many.
Sylva is survived by his loving wife, Connie of Auburn, his children, Susan Sharp and her husband Kevin of Florida, Linda Ringuette and her husband Louis of Lewiston, Michael Beaucage of Auburn and Jerry Beaucage of Livermore. He also leaves behind his sister, Dora Cyr of Lewiston, his brother, Joe of Okinawa, Japan, 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Sylvette Lamontagne.
Visiting hours will be held at Fortin\Lewiston on Sunday November 11, 2018 from 4-7pm. A Liturgy of the Word service will be celebrated on Monday November 12, 2018 at 11am also at the funeral home. Interment will take place at St. Peter's Cemetery at a later date.
