Mrs. Theresa Lamore

1921 - 2010

Auburn- Theresa Lamore of Auburn passed away on Tuesday September 28, 2010 at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jay, Maine on May 11, 1921 a daughter of Henry and Odile Blanchette. She grew up and attended school in Livermore Maine. She married Leo Lamore on May 31, 1941 and they made their home in Auburn until his passing. She was active in women's organizations in her early married life. She enjoyed traveling, cooking for family and friends, playing slot machines and bingo with close friends. Theresa brought up her family of six children on Loring Ave. until her husband's passing on March 16, 1982. She then spent many years at Barker Arms until she moved to Sarah Frye Home where she enjoyed her last years.

She is survived by her daughters: Rita James and her husband Ronald; Anita Guay; Carmen Castonguay and her husband Richard; her son Paul Lamore and his wife Anne; her grandchildren Mrs. John (Tina) Royea, Jeffrey Page, Mrs. Delia Lamore, Kirk Castonguay; her step-grandchildren; Emily and Amy; her great-grandchildren; Tyler Poli, Chelsea Poli and Ethan Poli and her very close and long time friend Nancy Ashton.

Besides her husband Leo she was predeceased by her son Jerome Lamore on December 7, 2008 and her daughter Annette Page on February 26,2009.

The family would like to thank the staffs at The Sarah Frye Home and The Androscoggin Hospice House for their loving care and devotion to Theresa.

Visitation to be held at Fortin/Lewiston on Monday October 4 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Funeral services will be held following visitation at 5:00 at the Funeral Home. Committal Services will be held at a later date at St. Peter's Cemetery.
