Viviane J. Berube

LEWISTON - Viviane J. Berube, 78, a resident of Litchfield died peacefully Saturday evening at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Lewiston, April 9, 1929, the daughter of Wilfred and Yvonne (Nadeau) Huard. She attended Lewiston schools and was a 1949 graduate of St. Dominic's High School in Lewiston.. She married Normand Berube on June 30, 1952, and then moved to Haverhill, Massachusetts in 1955 where they raised 6 children. Viviane was a stay at home mother that also worked part time in the school cafeteria in Haverhill. In 1987 she and her husband moved back to Maine where they built there retirement home on Purgatory Pond in Litchfield where they enjoyed there retirement with friends and family. Viviane also enjoyed gardening , as well as wildlife that would visit there backyard. Survivors include her husband, Normand of Litchfield; five sons, Normand "Kip" Berube and his wife, Luanne of Newton, MA; John Berube of Epping, NH; Richard Berube and his wife, Mary of Kingston, NH; Claude Berube of Raymond, NH; and Guy Berube and his wife, Joan of Haverhill, MA; one daughter, Suzanne Berube of Haverhill, MA; one sister, Julie Roderigue and her husband, Paul of McKenney, TX. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, George Huard. BERUBE died in Lewiston, November 3, 2007, Mrs. Viviane J. Berube age 78 years a resident of Litchfield. A Mass of Christian Burial honoring her life will be celebrated WEDNESDAY 11:00AM at St. Leo's Church, Litchfield. Interment with graveside committal prayers to follow at the Litchfield Plains Cemetery. Donations preferred in Viviane's memory to St. Leo's Church c/o of St. Francis Church 130 Rt. 133 Winthrop, ME 04364.
