

He was born on September 1, 1943, in Lewiston, Maine the son of the late Juliette and William H. Roy Sr. .
Following High School, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and subsequently served in the National Guard for many years.
He worked at Jones & Vining for 30 plus years and upon his retirement he worked for United Ambulance Wheelchair Service and Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy.
He enjoyed camping, boating, and campfires at Tacoma Lakes, trips to Old Orchard Beach, and he especially loved spending time with family. He, and most of his immediate family appreciated working at the Central Maine Civic Center where he invented the "Egg McPuck".
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Darlene Roy, daughters - Deanna Roy and Fiance Justin Drabik, Tamara Roy and her Fiance Marc Dube, sons - William Roy III and wife Rena, James Roy and wife Stephanie, siblings - Cecile M. Roy and Paul Roy and his wife Darlene, grandchildren - Jason Wilcox and his wife Leyla, Matthew Roy and wife Jennifer, Roland Gendreau and Fiance Ashlee Belanger, Kayla Roy, Jaydon Roy, Emilio Marsella, Dario Marsella, and Jaxson Roy, along with 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Joseph Roy, his in-laws Edwina and Roger Rodrigue, three grandchildren, Coty William Roy, Caven James Roy and Johnathan Robert Banks Morin.
Funeral Services honoring Williams life will be celebrated on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fellowship Church in Greene. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 4-7 PM at The Fortin & Pinette Group, 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, 784-4023.
