Yvette P. Desjardins

LEWISTON - Yvette Pomerleau Desjardins, 91 a resident of 30 Baird Ave., Lewiston passed away Sunday, October 14th at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Lewiston, July 27, 1916, the daughter of Romeo and Emella (Maheux) Pomerleau. Yvette was married to Adrien Desjardins in 1941, and resided on Baird Avenue her entire married life where she raised five children and devoted many happy hours tending her vegetable gardens. She was a member of Holy Cross Church where she attended faithfully on a daily basis until recent years. Survivors include one son, Raymond Desjardins and his wife, Donna of Cedar Run, NJ; four daughters, Lucille Desjardins and her husband, Denny Cottrell of Schenectady, NY; Diane Girvin and her husband, Steve of Hamden, CT; Helen Gagne and her husband, John of Berlin, NH; and Cecile Thornton of Lewiston. Two sisters, Gratia and Mignonne Pomerleau both of Lewiston. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Adrien Desjardins in 1999, and one brother, Armand Pomerleau in 2003. DESJARDINS died in Lewiston, October 14, 2007, Mrs. Yvette Pomerleau Desjardins age 91 years a resident of 30 Baird Ave., Lewiston. A Mass of Christian Burial honoring her life will be held TUESDAY 11:00AM at Holy Cross Church. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery.
