AJ Kirby II

LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Anthony Jay Kirby, II, 29, of Lexington, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Lexington United Methodist Church with interment in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.

Anthony was born October 7, 1986 in Columbia, SC and passed away Friday, September 2, 2016. He was the son of Anthony Jay Kirby (Dina).

He graduated from White Knoll High School with Honors. He worked in HV/AC Construction.

He is survived by his parents; sisters, Emily E. Kirby and Ashleigh M. Kirby; grandparents, A.D. Kirby (Diane), Joan Kruger and numerous aunts and uncles.

Anthony Jay Kirby’s heart was as big as his smile. He was well loved and admired by many, touching people’s heart everywhere he went. AJ was an avid fisherman and enjoyed nothing more than spending time on the water with his boys, catching fish and drinking a cold one. When it came to sports there was no other team better than his South Carolina Gamecocks and he was proud of them, win or lose. Though his short time here is over, his memories will forever remain in the hearts of so many he loved.
