Born in St. Paul, MN, Alex was a lifelong nature lover, gifted student of history, and science and technology enthusiast. Alex was an IT Services Specialist in South Carolina state government, following a 25-year career as an Information Technology Agent at Best Buy Co. He will be forever cherished for his kindness, altruism, sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the memories and love he shared with those closest to him, especially his daughter, Arya Jo, who was the light of his life.
Alex is survived by his wife, Liz; his daughter, Arya Jo; his three sisters, Julie Murphy, Kalindi Vora, and Sonja Vora-Middleton; and Nathan Camp, who was like a brother to him from the age of 19. He is also survived by his father- and mother-in-law, Roger and Judy Parham; two nieces; five nephews; and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Nisheeth and Christine Vora, with whom he is now reunited among the stars.
He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will remain with us always. We invite friends and loved ones to join us in celebrating his life and honoring the many ways he touched our hearts at a celebration of life, to be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Water Oak Shelter at Saluda Shoals Park in Columbia, South Carolina.
